FOLLOW

JESUS

You may not see it yet, but choosing to follow Jesus is one of the most life-changing decisions you can make. Scripture promises us that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13). No matter your story, your past, or what you’re facing today, God loves you deeply and has a purpose for your life.

FEEL LIKE SOMETHING’S MISSING?

What if the thing you’re longing for isn’t a what… but a who?

Every one of us—no matter how “good” we try to be—carries the weight of sin. That sin creates a distance between us and God, a separation that leaves us feeling empty, lost, or like something vital is missing.

But God, in His love, made a way to close that gap.

He sent His Son, Jesus, to pay the price for our sin. Jesus came to earth, died on a cross, and rose again so we could be forgiven, restored, and brought back into relationship with God. Through Him, we receive not just forgiveness… but new life.

SALVATION IS THE START OF A RELATIONSHIP

Salvation is more than what happens after we die. It’s the beginning of a full, hope-filled life with God right now.

When we choose to follow Jesus, we’re admitting that our own way can’t save us. That we can’t fix ourselves or hold everything together alone. We surrender—not out of fear, but out of trust—and invite Jesus to lead our lives.

And from that moment on, we are never alone. Jesus becomes the friend who never abandons us. He gives us His Holy Spirit to guide us, strengthen us, and help us live out the life God created us for.

Through Him, we are welcomed into direct relationship with a God who deeply loves and cares for us.

MAKE A DECISION TO FOLLOW JESUS

Romans 10:9 says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

It’s simple: confess and believe.
You can talk to Jesus in your own words, or pray something like this:

“Dear Jesus, I know I’ve fallen short and I need Your forgiveness. I believe You came to earth, died for my sins, and rose again so I could be made right with God. Today, I confess You as my Lord and I give You my whole life—my past, my present, and my future. Lead me and use me for Your purpose. I’m Yours. Amen.”

COMMON QUESTIONS

  • When you put your trust in Jesus’ payment for your sins and commit to following Him, you are saved. Salvation is God’s gift to you. You cannot earn it, and you don’t have to “get right” to receive it.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

  • Everyone! We all need saving — from the person filled with regret to the preacher’s kid who followed every rule. God’s desire is for everyone to have a relationship with His Son.

2 Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

  • We are saved when we receive and believe the good news that Jesus came, died and rose again for our sin. You don’t have to remember the exact time or place you made that recognition to be saved.

The important thing is that there’s a turning point when life started to look different because of Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

  • Jesus gives every believer the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives us a desire to live for God as well as the ability to hear, recognize and respond to God’s voice.

To love God, to enjoy His presence, to hear His voice, and to feel the conviction of sin and the need for repentance — these are all common experiences of those who are saved (John 10:3-5).
