What We Believe

Statement of Faith

These are the convictions that shape everything we teach and everything we do. They're not the only things we believe, but they are the things we won't move on.

Our convictions

01

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, trustworthy word of God and the final authority for what we believe and how we live.

02

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit — perfect in holiness, wisdom and love.

03

Jesus

We believe Jesus is fully God and fully human; that he lived a sinless life, died in our place, rose bodily from the grave, and is coming again.

04

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit lives in every believer, empowers us for life and mission, and gives gifts to the church today.

05

Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus alone, and never earned by anything we do.

06

The church

We believe the church is the family of God, sent into the world to make disciples, love people, and serve our city.

07

Baptism & communion

We practise baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith, and we take communion together in remembrance of Jesus.

08

Eternity

We believe every person will live forever, and that Jesus has made a way for anyone who wants it to spend that forever with him.

Core beliefs

What we stand on

Our statement of faith reflects the core doctrines of the Assemblies of God and the broader evangelical Christian tradition. These are not merely intellectual positions — they are the living truths that anchor our community.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Psalm 119:105

Questions are welcome

If you'd like to talk any of this through, we'd genuinely love the conversation.
